At Rexall, the health and safety of our employees, customers and patients remains a priority. As we work through COVID-19, Rexall will continue to focus on important actions such as:

  • Staff education on proper infection control processes
  • Frequent hand washing with soap/water or alcohol-based gel as outlined by Public Health Agency of Canada to prevent the spread of COVID-19
  • Routine and thorough cleaning protocols at our stores/facilities, disinfecting all high-touch areas.
  • Ensuring employees and pharmacists have the information they need to stay healthy or to stay at home if they are feeling unwell
  • Cascading material related to COVID-19 to our store teams on a regular basis so that they can keep informed of the latest operations information
  • We have also encouraged social distancing and will continue to examine all measures to ensure the safety and health of our employees.

Partnering With Tia Health To Provide Access To Virtual Care For Employees, Customers And Patients

Rexall has partnered with Tia Health to launch a virtual care service for patients to help relieve the current burden on the acute healthcare system, specifically emergency rooms and hospitals. Patients will be able to talk to a doctor from the comfort of their homes by video chat or phone call and receive safe and effective medical care.

Virtual care is covered by the provincial health plan in Ontario (OHIP) and British Columbia (MSP), but not the other provinces. Patients with a valid Ontario or British Columbia health card will not be charged. Patients in other provinces will receive a receipt that may be reimbursed through a health spending account or other private insurance.

Rexall is making this service available free of charge for its employees.

  • Any request received before 12:00pm local time can be delivered to anywhere in Canada by the next business day.1

  • Contact your Rexall Direct Pharmacy to discuss delivery options and how to get your medication when you need it.

  • To continue the practice of Social Distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have temporarily removed the requirement to sign for your delivery.

  • Yes, you can track your medication delivery by email or text once you receive your shipping confirmation. Ensure to keep your phone number and email address updated in your profile.

  • Yes, special care is taken to ensure appropriate packaging and preserving the cold chain shipping, including biological medications. We have strict policies and procedures in place for identification, handling and shipping of these medications.

  • Your Online Rexall Direct Account will include a section to securely add and manage your payment information. Add your credit card to your Rexall Direct profile for easy payment.

  • We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We also accept Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit. Please note that all payment processing is secured and will not be stored as per Payment Card Industry standards. Cash, cheque, and Interac are not accepted.

  • The payment information you provide will be validated and securely stored for payment processing in a secure database located within a highly restricted network segment behind multiple firewalls. Both Rexall Direct and Bambora are fully compliant with all requirements of the PCI Data Security Standard.
